In case anyone hasn't worked it out from the tagboard, slash my friends constantly looking at me and then bursting out in spontaneous laughter as they imagine me in the yellow-shirt-black-pants-and-shoes-uniform, I am in fact officially a MacDonald's girl (since last Monday). It was an obvious choice for a job after the recent discovery of my talents in auntie killing Easter Sunday. Plenty of aunties for me to conquer at work now. I like.

Seriously though, it's actually pretty physically demanding work. By the end of my 8 hour shifts, the 20 minute bus ride home and the walk into sunset way, I usually need to lie down on the floor for a while to recover. Although maybe that's just a result of my accute lack of physical fitness. Surprisingly it's also turned out to be a really PC type job. But I'm still adjusting. 95% of the time, I'm completely confused and thinking WHAT THE?? repeatedly in my head. But we're getting there. I'm was totally pro at frying hashbrowns and fries today. I know this because 1) Liz visited me this morning and bought one of my (and I quote) "very well done" hashbrowns and enjoyed it and b) my manager asked me to make her a box of medium fries with no salt and told me after she ate them "Good job! Ni de fries hen hao chi." Hurray.
