I'm thinking I should go get a blood test done sometime soon, because recently my blood sugar and stuff was being weird. And also, the other day my sister and I decided to get out dad to compare our pulses to see who was fitter and my dad decided to call out our respective pulses so that we could "hear" them and compare as well. Well, mine went something like this:

Tick (my heart beat doesn't actually go tick, but dad decided that would be an appropriate sound to call out)... tick tick.... t-i-c-k... tick, tick, tick... tick.... tick, tick tick, tick....

And apparently an irregular heart beat is bad news so I should probably go for a blood test 1) to make sure nothing is wrong with me b) for fun! I've never taken blood before. I've actually always wanted to donate blood. But I will never ever be able to because, according to the Health Sciences Authority:

" You should not give blood if you have:
Ever had Hepatitis B or C;
Been infected by HIV or are at risk of getting HIV (e.g. have had sexual contact with a HIV-positive person, have multiple sex partners or patronized sex workers);
Resided in the UK for a cumulative period of 3 months or more from 1980 to 1996;
Resided in France for a cumulative period of 5 years or more from 1980 up till today;
Previous or current history of cancer;
Previous history of drug abuse (either oral or intravenous); or
Serious chronic illnesses such as diseases of the heart or lung (those with well-controlled asthma can still donate blood).
Autoimmune diseases such as SLE, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Thyrotoxicosis."

And we lived in Edinburgh for like 6 months in like 1993, so they're afraid I might have some dormant state of mad cow or something. QED pretty much I can never save anyone's life ever. My sister suggested that I give a kidney or part of my liver or something. -.- I told her I would consider.

Tonight, when we had salad as part of our dinner I also couldn't help noticing that the bottle of salad cream has a label on it's neck that read "Pourable Sunshine". Haha. Little things that make me laugh and get me through the day.
