After the insurmountable build up to tonight, I must say I found the ultimate finale somewhat an anticlimatic let-down. The play itself was beautiful. I LOVED IT SO SO MUCH. I would recommend it to everyone. Seriously people, if you haven't bought tickets please go and buy now. The play has an amazing cast and it's so brilliantly presented and blocked and the sets and costumes just embrace the incredible delivery of the words and make Shakespeare really come alive. It was really really fantastic.
But but but, meeting Ethan Hawke and Rebecca Hall and everyone. That was nice as well, but just, it didn't give me a kick at all. It was very strange. I thought that I would be at least slightly star struck, particularly since LiAnne and I have been working ourselves up to this for weeks now. But yeah. The whole time I was just kinda thinking to myself... well.... this is.... fun-ish I guess. But I'd rather be hanging out with my friends. My barbeque on Sunday actually gave me a substaintially bigger kick. Also, we (well, I anyways) look ridiculously terrible in ALL the celebrity photos. Lol. It's actually so bad. Worse part is, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity so no chance to redeem ourselves!
Top 3 things I learnt from this evening:
1. Video blog type things are so fun to film! LiAnne and I did sooooo many.
b. I'm never wearing makeup again for a loooong while. I always fool myself into thinking that I would like to get dolled up and wear it, and then every once in a while I have to actually put some on and then I realise how much I HATE it.
iii. A-list after parties mean... nothing to me. I like my friends better. :S
