1.

I've bought a new dress and shoes

for tomorrow. Which, in case anyone has forgotten, IS FINALLY ETHAN HAWKE DAY. LiAnne and I actually even booked hair and makeup. Haha. Personally, the extra money spent on professional hair and makeup is probably for the best and not really a waste since I am generally unable to achieve anything other than the "I just rolled out of bed" look. On sunday, I got dressed for church and was going to happily go along my way when LiAnne was like "Aiyoh, what are you going to do with your hair." Really, I wasn't planning to do anything with it but I tied it up after she said that. Lol. My logic is, 1) I'm not out to impress anyone and b) when it gets to dressy occasions like this then you have more potential to clean up you see? There's more of a WOW, you-clean-up-good factor. :D
Yesterday, when I bought the above, my mother seemed pleased enough. I think at times like these, she's always comforted by the fact that her number-first-progeny is in fact able to select nice clothes for herself when the situation calls for it. I.e. I'm always dressed unglam-ly because I don't make an effort, and not because I have no fashion sense. Haha. QED I can actually take care of my image if I want.
Speaking of taking care of myself, today I decided to eat an apple, a packet of milo and half a packet of hot and spicy twisties for lunch because I was a bit carried away browsing at the library today. Which, kids, is an example of NOT taking care of yourself. But I had no idea the library@esplanade had so many scores and cds! I was like having a field day there. But yes, I shudder to think what will happen when I have to move out and find all my own meals. Or worse, what my children will eat. A healthy mix of calabee, jack and jill, roller coasters and pringles maybe. Some pokey for dessert.
